Two Die In Road Crashes In Tipperary And Sligo

A 22-year-old man has died in a road accident in Co Sligo.

It is understood that the man died when he was thrown from his tractor and struck by a trailer it was towing at around 6.20pm on Monday.

The accident happened at Clogher, Monasteraden. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a separate incident in Co Tipperary, a motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a car at Boulick, Gotnahoe, at around 10pm on Monday.

The female driver of the car was uninjured.

The 34-year-old victim was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact Thurles Garda station on 0504-25100.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

A man in his 70s has died following a two-vehicle road crash on the M8 Motorway in Co Tipperary. The incident occurred near Cahir at around 9pm on Monday, 05 February. The victim was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a second car.

Two independent investigations have been launched following the death of a 59-year-old man in a workplace accident. The man died following an incident on a building site in Midleton, Co Cork, at approximately 12:49pm on Monday, 08 August, at St Coleman's Community College.
