Arrest Made And Drugs Seized In Dublin Raid

Cocaine with an estimated street value of €500,000 has been seized and a man arrested following a planned search by the Ronanstown Garda drugs unit.

The man, said to be in his late 30s, was arrested at the scene and is being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Lucan Garda station.

Prison Officer's 'Embarrassment' Over Drugs
The union representing prison officers have spoke of their "embarrassment" over the arrest of a prison officer in connection with drug smuggling. The prison officer was arrested yesterday morning at 7.30am on suspicion of smuggling drugs into Mountjoy Prison in Dublin.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
A 37-year-old man has been arrested after Gardai discovered what is believed to be 15 kilos of heroin at a house in Lucan yesterday evening. It is believed to have a street value of €2.25million. The man is being detained at Clondalklin Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.

Second Arrest Made Following Drugs And Gun Seizure
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the seizure of a firearm and drugs, with an estimated street value of €200,000. It is the second arrest in connection with the seizures made on April 04. The man is being held at Tallaght Garda Station.

Three Arrested In Connection With Large Drugs Seizure In Co Cork
Three people have been arrested in connection with a large drugs seizure in County Cork. As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Cork area, Gardaí from Bandon Garda station searched a house at Presentation Terrace, Kinsale on the 27 October.

€200k Of Cannabis Seized In Dublin
A search of a Dublin address yesterday evening led to the arrest of a man and recovered a cache of cannabis worth nearly €200,000. According to Gardaí this morning, the find is part of an on-going investigation carried out by members of the Crime Task Force attached to the Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin.
