Garda Appeal For Info Over Mother And Daughter Murders
Gardai in Co Kerry have issued an appeal to the public for information in connection with the murders of a mother and daughter over the weekend.
The bodies of Jolanta Lubiene (27) and her eight-year-old daughter Enrika were found at their home in Kilorglin on Sunday evening.
It is understood that Jolanta was found downstairs and Enrika was found in her upstairs bedroom. Preliminary post-mortem results show the pair died from stab wounds.
The investigation into their deaths have confirmed Ms Lubiene last movements.
She is known to have been seen at around 13:50 on Saturday at langford Street in Kilorglin as she walked home from the town.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between lunchtime on Saturday and the evening on Sunday to come forward.
Gardaí are keen to establish who Ms Lubiene met and who she was talking to on the day.
It is believed she may have known her killer and let that person into her house.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the double murder which happened in Killorglin, Co Kerry. Jolanta Lubiene and her daughter Enrika were found dead at their home on 16th June. The suspect is currently being detained in Killarney Garda Station.
