Teenager Critical After Quad Bike Accident

A 16-year-old boy involved in a quad bike accident on Tuesday afternoon has been described as in a critical condition, RTÉ have reported.

It is understood that accident happened on a public road near the village of Newcastle, Co Tipperary, but the exact cause of what happened is not yet known.

Gardaí have said the believe the boy may have lost control of the quad bike.

The boy was airlifted to Cork University Hospital.

Father And Son Injured In Quad Bike Accident In Clare
An eight-year-old boy and his father have been injured in a quad bike accident. Both of them were hurt after the quad bike hit a wall just after 9pm on Thursday night. The incident happened on a local road in Ballinagoagh North. The boy was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital and is believed to be in a critical condition.

Teen Killed In Quad Bike Accident
A teenager has died in a quad bike accident in Co Limerick. The incident happened on the R507 Oola to Doon Road at around 1.45pm on Tuesday. It is thought the 17-year-old male lost control of the bike and collided with a tractor that was cutting hedges along the narrow road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Quad Tragedy Mourned
A boy has died in the North and another has been left critically injured following a collision involving a quad bike in Co Londonderry overnight. A 14-year-old died in the accident which happened at about 10pm on Thursday on the Craigmore Road in Maghera.

Child Fatally Injured In Farming Accident In Co Mayo
A four-year-old boy has died in a farming accident in Ballinaboy, Co Mayo. According to reports the child was fatally injured when he was hit by a trailer on the farm at about 21:00 on Wednesday. Gardaí said the incident is being treated as a tragic accident.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.
