Cannabis Taken By Two Women Was Not Contaminated

Gardai in Drogheda have established that cannabis that was tested after two women were left seriously ill in hospital, was not contaminated.

The Garda Superintendent Gerry Smith in Drogheda said: "We can confirm that results of tests carried out on cannabis found it was not contaminated." 

Both women are being treated in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where there condition is improving.

They had been admitted to the intensive care unit after suffering from what appeared to be fits and seizures.

Superintendent Sit said when the women are all enough they will be interviewed.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Cannabis Found In Wooded Area In Co Cavan
Cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 has been uncovered in a wooded area in Co Cavan. Gardaí confirmed they made the discovery on Tuesday at Drumgill. No one has been arrested in connection with the find, gardaí have said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.
