Two Remain In Custody Following Robbery

Two males remain in custody following a cash in transit robbery on Sunday afternoon.

At around 4.15pm, two man, one armer with what was described as a firearm, confronted a security worker as he was making a cash collection at Orwell Shopping Centre.

They escaped with a sum of money in a jeep which was later found abandoned at the Spawell Car Park a short time later.

No one was injured.

Two females who were arrested have been released without charge.

Three Charged Over Cash-In-Transit Robbery
Two more people have been charged in connection with a cash-in-transit van in Dublin on Monday, Gardaí have confirmed. On Monday, three men fled a shopping centre in Raheny Village with a cash box. The cash box was later recovered by Gardaí and the men were arrested.

Two Held Over Cash Van Robbery
Gardaí have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed raid on a cash-in-transit van on Tuesday. A member of the Group 4 Securicor staff was injured during the raid in which two shots were fired, and over €18,000 was stolen. The incident took place outside the Ulster Bank branch near the Coachman's Inn pub on the Old Swords Road.

Three Arrests Following Armed Robbery In Cork
Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Cork. Two masked men armed with knives stole a sum of cash at a petrol station on Leitrim Street at around 8.30pm on Thursday night. The men made off from the scene in a car which was driven by another man and also had a female passenger.

Firearm Found Following Cork Robbery
Gardai have discovered a firearm following a robbery at a house in Cork. The shotgun was found in a field near the home of a businessman at Gluntahaune during searches on Monday. Five men have been arrested and are currently being detained in custody. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination.

Garda Search For Gang Following Armed Robbery Of Post Office
Gardaí are searching for a gang of men in connection with an armed robbery of a Post Office in Athboy, Co Meath. It is understood that three or four men dressed in black, and one armed with an axe, entered the Post Office and threatened staff, demanding money. The gang fled the scene with a sum of cash.
