Man Arrested After Drugs And Firearm Seizure

A man has been arrested in Dublin following the seizure of drugs and a firearm.

At approximately 6.30pm on Thursday Gardai in Tallaght searched a car in the Jobstown area and recovered a sawn-off shot gun and ammunition as well as cannabis and heroin with a combined street value of €200,000.

The man is being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Teen Arrested Following Firearm Seizure
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin. He was arrested on the Jobstown Road at approximately 12.40am on Tuesday morning. Gardaí were alerted after a man was seen holding a weapon. The male was chased on foot and gardaí disarmed and arrested him.

Gardaí from the DMR North Central Divisional Drug Unit have arrested a man following the seizure of a firearm, firearm components, ammunition and suspected stolen jewellery in Dublin. The seizure was made following the planned search of a premises in Lucan on Wednesday 6 May at approximately 5.30pm.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
