Two Arrested In ATM Fraud Investigation

Two men have been arrested in connection with ATM fraud following a garda investigation in Co Kildare.

The investigation concerned incidents of suspected ATM skimming, where hidden or obscured devices are used to record information stored on credit cards and bank cards.

The arrests were made at Sallins Road, Naas at about 6.45pm on Wendesday following a surveillance operation.

The two males, both of whom are in their 30’s, were taken to Naas Garda Station.

A number of items of evidence were seized along with a vehicle.

Arrest Follows Skerries Body Discovery
Gardaí in Balbriggan have launched an investigation following the discovery of the body of a men in his 50s at a house in Mourne Park, Skerries, yesterday evening. The body was found at about 18:00. The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Four Girls In Hospital After Aerosol Explosion
Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Garda Ombudsman Begins Investigation Following Man's Death
The Garda Ombudsman Commission is investigating the death of a man in Drogheda. The man, who was anted by gardai, is believed to have taken his own life. Neighbours in the North Quay area said they heard several bangs between 5am and 7am this morning. A post mortem is due to be carried out today.

Gardaí Officers Arrested In Fraud Investigation
Two serving garda officers, suspected of fraudulent activity, have been arrested. The two officers, both in their 30s and understood to be based in the Dublin area, were arrested this morning by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Activity. The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation into claims of fraudulent activity.
