Search Continues For Spanish Fisherman

A search is continuing for a Spanish fisherman who fell overboard from his trawler southwest of Castletownbere at around 4am this morning.

The man, who went overboard from the Spanish-registered trawler, the Eco Homo, is believed to have not been wearing a life jacket.

RNLI Lifeboats will be joined by Naval vessels Le Aisling and Le Emer.

Trawler Arrested Off Cork Coast For Fishing Violations
A trawler has been detained 30 miles off the coast of Cork over alleged breaches of EU fishing regulations. The vessel - which is Irish-registered - was stopped by the Naval Service patrol ship, LE Ciara, off Ballycotton and inspected at 11.30pm on Tuesday evening. The trawler was then detained and escorted to Cobh, Co Cork by the LE Ciara.

Body Found After Ferry Fall
A woman's body has been recovered from the sea off the Co Wexford coast. According to reports this morning, lifeboats were summoned at around 10pm last night, after a woman in her 40s fell overboard from a Stena Line ferry.

Body Of Irishman Found In Brisbane River
A body, believed to be that of an Irishman who went missing in Australia at the weekend, has been recovered in the Brisbane river. 24-year-old Shane O'Halloran went missing on Saturday night after falling overboard a cruise ship. Police located the body not far from where he originally went missing.
