Man Murdered In Mulhuddart

A 28-year-old man has died after he was stabbed outside a house in west Dublin.

The incident happened just before midnight at Castlecurragh Vale in Mulhuddart.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was pronounced dead at around 1am.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and the State Pathologist's office has been notified.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

A man in his early 20s has died in a knife attack in Dublin. The yet to be named victim was stabbed in the stomach on Fortlawn Avenue shortly after 1.30am this morning, he was pronounced dead a short time later at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

Kerry Hit And Run Probed
An investigation is underway after a hit and run incident in Co Kerry on Friday. During the incident in the Killorglin area of Kerry a male pedestrian aged 51 was fatally injured by a vehicle that fled the area. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cork Regional Hospital.

Men Arrested Following Two Violent Incidents In Athlone
Three men have been arrested in connection with violent incidents in Athlone, Westmeath on Tuesday. In the first incident, a taxi driver, aged in his 70s, was attacked by two male passengers he had picked up on Church Street and driven to Bloomfield Drive. The driver suffered a number of stab wounds during the incident.

Warning Issued Over Debit Card Scammer
Gardaí in Cork, Tipperary and Limerick are urging members of the public to be vigilant following a number of scams in the area. In one of the known incidents, a man, claiming to be from the company Phone Watch, has taken debit cards off people and then withdrew cash from their accounts.
