20-Year-Old Killed In Dublin Knife Attack

A man in his early 20s has died in a knife attack in Dublin.

The yet to be named victim was stabbed in the stomach on Fortlawn Avenue shortly after 1.30am this morning, he was pronounced dead a short time later at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

Another man, also in his early 20s, was arrested close to the scene and is currently being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

Gardaí said they are following a definite line of inquiry in their investigation into the death.

The scene has been preserved pending a forensic examination.

Appeal Issued For Man Missing Since 13 July
Gardaí have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Zilvinas Duda, who is missing from Dublin. The 31-year-old has been missing from the Ongar area of Dublin 15 since Saturday 13 July. It is understood that Mr Duda's car, a Grey Audi A3 Hatchback, was found on the Staleen Road in Donore in County Meath on the same day.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Girl Arrested As McAnaspie Case Continues
A juvenile has become the most recent arrest as part of the investigation into the murder of Daniel McAnaspie. The girl was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being detained in Blanchardstown Garda station under Sec 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Motorcyclist Killed In Dublin Crash
A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a taxi in Dublin. The crash occurred on the Old Navan Road near Mulhuddart in the west of the city at around 7pm on Wednesday evening, 04 September. The 45-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and Gardaí later confirmed he had died.

Firearm And Drugs Seized In Co Longford
A firearm and a quantity of drugs have been seized by garda as part of an operation targeting criminal activity in Co Longford. A shotgun and ammunition were seized from a house in the Ballymahon area.
