Woman Assaulted At St Georges Quay

Gardai are appealing for information following a serious assault which occurred at Georges Quay, Dublin 2, on Sunday 24th June 2012.

At approximately 2.45am a female aged in her 20s sustained serious facial injuries during a disturbance involving a number of females outside a public house near to Tara St. Train Station.

Investigating Gardai are appealing for information and have issued descriptions of two females they wish to speak to regarding the incident. The first woman is described as approximately 5’3” in height, of slim build, with long black hair, wearing a white tee-shirt and black jeans. She was accompanied by a female who is described as slightly taller and heavier in build with hair tied up in a bun. She was wearing a black cardigan and purple top. Both women left the scene on foot.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed a disturbance involving a group of females at the entrance to Tara Street Train Station at approximately 2.45am (24/6/2012) and in particular to any taxi driver who may have picked up two females in the Georges Quay/Burgh Quay area matching the above description to contact them.

Dublin Stabbing Prompts Two Arrests
Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Dublin city centre over the weekend. The incident happened on Essex Quay at around 4.40pm on Sunday 09 December. A man in his late 20's was treated at the scene and taken to St James' Hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Woman Arrested After Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop
Gardaí in Mullingar have arrested a woman in connection with a drug seizure made during a traffic stop. A uniformed patrol on the M6 stopped a car at about 14:30 on Monday. During a search of the car, garda discovered one kilo of cocaine (subject to analysis) with a street value of approximately €70,000.

Gardaí Appeal For Hit-And-Run Driver To Come Forward
Gardaí in Cork have appealed to the male driver and two female passengers of a silver BMW that failed to stopped after hitting a 12-year-old boy to come forward. The child was hit as he crossed Thomas Davis Street in Blackpool last Wednesday night, but the car failed to stopped, continuing on into Cork city centre.
