Man Arrested After Holding Staff Members Hostage

A man, who is believed to have been armed, held four members of staff at a pharmacy in Ladywells, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

Gardai, who were alerted to the incident, used a taser gun to arrest the suspect, at around 12.20pm today.

An imitation firearm was discovered following the incident.

The suspect did not sustain any injuries.

Two Males Arrested Following Armed Robbery
Two males have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a chemist in Dublin. Two men, believed to have been armed with handguns, entered the premises at approximately 8.30pm on Tuesday night. Two members of staff were threatened, and one received minor injuries. The robbers took a watch from one of the staff members and fled the scene.
