Gang Attack Three Elderly Siblings
Three elderly siblings have been attacked by a gang with a sword and knives in Co Limerick last night.
They are currently being treated in hospital after receiving serious injuries to their head and limbs.
Two masked men entered the pensioners' home in Ballyluddy and assaulted the three pensioners.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Halawa Sisters To Be Released
Three sisters from Dublin, who have been detained in Edypt since August, are expected to be released later today. The three siblings of the Halawa family were arrested during a protest march in Cairo during the summer. Their brother, Ibrahim, 17, remains in custody and is expected to attend a court hearing on Saturday.

Garda are searching for three men in connection with the robbery of an elderly couple in Co Wicklow. An 85-year-old man and his 83-year-old wife were tied up and at least three men ransacked their home at Briarwood, Vevay Road at about 20:15 on Monday.

Three people required hospital treatment following a high-speed car chase in Longford on Saturday night. Gardai said a patrol car was carrying out a routine circuit of the town when it tried to stop a car. However, the car sped off at speed and gardai gave chase. The chase ended when the suspects car crashed at Goshen cross outside Longford.

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.
