Woman Killed In Road Traffic Accident
A woman has been killed in a road traffic crash at Reas Cross on the Castletownroche to Mallow Road at around 10.10am this morning.
The collision involved a car and a truck.
A 9-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car, was uninjured. The male driver of the truck was also uninjured.
The road is currently closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place. The N73 which is an alternative route is also closed due to roadworks.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Fermoy Garda Station 025-82100, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
