Elderly Pedestrian Dies In Road Traffic Accident

A pedestrian has been killed following a road traffic accident at around 11:50 today at Ursula’s Terrace in Waterford.

Gardai are investigating the collision which involved an elderly male pedestrian and a car.

The road is currently closed pending a Garda forensic examination.

Garda have also appealed for anyone who might have witnessed the accident to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051-305300, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Ballymote garda are investigating a collision involving three vehicles and a pedestrian at about 11:40 on Thursday. Garda Appeal Over Fatal Road Traffic Accident
An investigation has been launched into a fatal road traffic accident in Clonlee, Kinnity, Co Offaly. A man in his early 20s was fatally injured when the jeep he was driving left the road at about 02:30 on Sunday, 18 October. The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle. A post-mortem is due to take place at Tullamore Regional Hospital.

Witness Appeal After Fatal Road Traffic Accident In Ballybofey
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident on the main Letterkenny to Sligo Road in Ballybofey, Donegal. A female driver, aged in her late 20s, was fatally injured when her car collided with a truck at about 7am on Friday morning. The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Examination.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Man Arrested Over Gun And Ammunition Seizure
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in an operation targeting organised criminal gangs in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Gardaí from Sundrive Road Garda Station arrested the man on Tuesday, 12 July, shortly after 9pm when they stopped and searched a car and its occupant close to Old County Road and discovered a firearm and ammunition.
