Man Dies In Venezuelan Hotel Room
An as yet unnamed man has died in a Venezuelan hotel room when the cocaine filled condoms he was carrying in his stomach burst.
It is believed the man in his early 30’s had links to a Co Sligo-based crime family.
Police in the Venezuelan capital said they found the man dying in a hotel in the city on Wednesday.
The dead man was from the Athlone area and is understood to have linked up with the Sligo crime family when he met family members in jail.
Two associates in their 20s from Galway are due in court in Caracas today.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said last night consular assistance was being provided and an official was traveling from the Irish Embassy in Mexico.

A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Appeal Issued For Co Mayo Man Missing Since Rag Week
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing 25-year-old Jason McNulty. Mr McNulty, from Swinford, Co Mayo, has not been seen since he left the Connacht Hotel in Renmore to travel to Galway for Rag Week. He is described as approximately 6-feet-tall, with dark hair and green eyes.

Victim 'May Have Met Killer On Dating Web-Site'
The mother-of-two who was found dead in a hotel in Limerick at the weekend may have met her killer through an internet dating web site, it has been reported. The body of 33-year-old Sylvia Roche Kelly from Sixmilebridge in Co. Clare was found lying face down in the bath in a room at the Clarion Hotel on Saturday morning.
