Woman Killed In Galway Collision

A woman in her late 30s has died after a road crash in County Galway on Tursday.

Gardaí at Ballinasloe, Co Galway said they were investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at Colemanstown, Menlough at 4.30pm.

The 38-year-old female driver, who was the only occupant, was fatally injured when the car she was driving collided with a wall.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision examination.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Collision In Co Galway
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Co Galway. A man, aged in his 70s, died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the Ballinasloe to Laurencetown Road at Sycamore Hill at approximately 8.30pm last night, Tuesday 20 February.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Witness Appeal Following Fatal Road Traffic Collision In Co Longford
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Longford on Sunday, 17 July. An 18-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in, as a front seat passenger, collided with a tractor at approximately 11.50pm in Cloonart, Bornacoola. The man was pronounced dead at Mullingar Hospital.
