Dublin Operation Ends In 11 Arrests

An operation in Dublin on Thursday by Gardaí has resulted in the arrest of 11 people.

A spokesman for Gardia said a of searches of 18 residential and 2 business premises along with a number of vehicles resulted in the arrests at various locations around the Capital.

Those arrested are being detained at various city centre stations with five men and one women being detained under the Criminal Justice Act, two men and a women under the Offences against the State Act and one man under the Drug Trafficking Act. One female has been arrested and lodged directly to Mountjoy Prison.

The ages of those arrested is from 20’s to 50’s.

During the searches, a quantity of ammunition, controlled drugs, cash, drug distribution paraphernalia, documents associated with drug trafficking, mobile ‘phones, computers and documents associated with financial transactions were seized.

Gardaí said the operation was ongoing.

This operation, which is being led by gardaí in Store Street, began early this morning.

Over 100 gardaí were involved and searches are continuing.

Two Held Following Drug Seizure
