Gardai Investigate Suspicious Death In Carrigaline

An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of a suspicious death in County Cork.

On Wednesday the body of 36-year-old Darren Falsey was discovered in a house at Ashbourne Court, Carrigaline around 3pm.

It is believed he received gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them in Togher or contact the confidential telephone line.

Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash
A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Tallagh Shooting Death Probed
A body has been found in a house in Tallaght which Gardai say is that of a man aged in his thirties. It was discovered in Donomore estate shortly after noon. The city coroner and State Pathologist have been informed of the discovery. The scene has been sealed off for a forensic team to investigate. It is believed the man was shot dead.

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.

Gardai Treat Death Of Latvian Man As Suspicious
Gardai investigating the death of a Latvian man in Dublin this week are treating it as suspicious. The body of 22-year-old Deniss Timosejevs was found by a farmer on his land at Balheary on Tuesday. A post mortem found he had a broken arm and sustained internal injuries.

Investigation Launches After Man's Body Found In Cork
Gardaí said they are treating the death of a man near Mallow, Co Cork, as suspicious. On Saturday, the body of Peter Murphy was found inside a house at Shonovoher. It is understood Mr Murphy, 36, was renting the property and lived alone.
