Three Firearms Discovered After Dublin Incident

A man and woman have been arrested after an arms find in County Dublin last night.

According to Gardaí this morning, shortly before 10pm last night, Gardaí received a call reporting an assault on Cashel Avenue and that a firearm had been produced during the course of the incident.

On arrival at scene Gardaí spoke to a number of people present and in a follow up investigation they searched a house on Cashel Avenue, Crumlin, Dublin 12.

During the course of the search three firearms, a sawn-off shotgun, a replica AK47 and a replica handgun, a quantity of ammunition (36 shotgun cartridges) and a bayonet were recovered.

The 33-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were arrested at scene and are presently detained at Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

Another search was conducted in Edenmore Park with negative results.

Three Arrested And Heroin Seized In Co Dublin
Heroin with an estimated street value of €650,000 has been seized and three men arrested by gardaí in Co Dublin. Gardaí have said that following an intelligence-led operation three men, aged in their 30s, were stopped and searched on Crumlin Road, Dublin 12 on Wednesday at around 18:30. The men were subsequently arrested.
