Derry Men On Dublin CIT Charges
Two men from the North have been charged with the possession of a firearm with intent to commit a robbery in Dublin.
The Londonderry pair face the charges over the robbery of a cash delivery guard in Dublin this Wednesday.
Charles Anthony Deery, 41, a Derry man with an address at Aughrim Street, Dublin, and Dermot McFadden, 38, of Kildrum Gardens, Creggan were in the dock.
Mr Deery is also accused of membership of an illegal organisation, "styling itself the Irish Republican Army".
Neither man said anything when formally charged at Dublin's Special Criminal Court. The court remanded both in custody until 24 June.
The two men were arrested after a cash box was stolen from a security guard making a delivery at Prussia Street in north Dublin.
The box was later recovered.

Witnesses Sought To Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a cash-in-transit van robbery in Navan on Tuesday, 25 August. At approximately 15.09 yesterday a cash delivery van pulled into the forecourt of the Maxol service station, Dublin Road, Navan and parked beside the ATM machine.

Two Face Court Over Foiled Dublin Robbery
Two men in their 20's are due to appear in court in relation to an attempted burglary at a shop on the South Circular Road this morning. The two men were arrested after they were discovered by Gardai at the rear of the shop as they attempted to gain entry at about 2.00am.

DAA To Operate Dublin Terminal 2
Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is to run Terminal 2 following a decision to terminate the facility management procurement process relating to Dublin Airport. Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey announced the news this week and said that the DDA can do so within a 'benchmark' set by the Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR).

Dublin City Council is eyeing up the UK capital's controversial congestion charges, and is said to be ready to consider the introduction of a similar London-style 'tax'. However, they may not be alone, as worldwide - and closer to home as well - other urban conurbations are seeking a similar 'solution' to traffic standstills.
