Two Hurt In Waterford Shooting
Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident at a house at Dominics Place in Waterford city early this morning.
Two people were hurt and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital with gun shot wounds but a Gardaí spokesman has confirmed their injuries are not life threatening.
The incident is believed to have happened sometime between 2 and 3am.
Two men have been arrested and are currently been detained at Waterford Garda station.
Gardaí believe the incident may have involved a number of people, possibly three, who had approached the owner of the house overnight.
A shotgun was discharged and the two people who have been injured were part of the group who had been in the vicinity of the house.

Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.

A 10-year-old boy is wanted by gardaí in connection with an attempted robbery in Waterford city on Thursday night. Gardaí said they believe the boy tried to get in through the window of a house at Rathfadden Villas at about 22:45. It is understood that a woman who lives in the property was home at the time, when she head someone saying, "Hello.
