Appeal Launched After Donegal Crash

An appeal to the public for information has been launched after a fatal crash in Co Donegal.

Gardaí in the Milford area of Donegal are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a two-vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred at Dunlewey, on 13 September this year at approximately 3.10pm.

The collision involved two vehicles a red Toyota Carina and a black Toyota Celica. A 66-year-old man died in Letterkenny General Hospital on the 18 September following the collision.

Gardaí are in particular looking to speak to a man aged between 37-45 years of age, who was driving a red Northern Ireland registered car with a canoe on top.

A Gardaí spokesman said the driver of this car was not involved in the collision but may have information, which could help Gardaí.

Meanwhile, a man has died following a road accident in Co Antrim.

The victim was killed as he was walking along the Galgorm Road in Ahoghill shortly after 7.30am on Thursday when he was hit by a van.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. Road Tragedies Blight Ireland
There has been a litany of fatal road accidents across Ireland with a man aged in his 60s being killed following a crash in Co Tyrone. The PSNI Police were called to the scene of the incident on the Gorticashel Road, Mountfield, outside Omagh, shortly after 4.30pm yesterday. They were responding to a report that a tractor had left the road.

Witness Appeal Following Fatal Road Collision
Gardaí in Mullingar have appealed for witnesses of a fatal road traffic accident on Thursday, 17 September. A man, aged in his 40s, was fatally injured when the truck he was driving left the road at approximately 12:30. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Mullingar Regional Hospital.

Two Pedestrians Killed In Collisions On Tuesday
Two men have been killed in separate traffic collisions on Tuesday. Gardaí at Bundoran are investigating the first collision that occurred on Main Street Bundoran at approximately 12.10am in the early hours of Tuesday morning. In the incident an 18-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by an articulated lorry.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.
