Hunt For Bank Of Ireland Raiders

A hunt for three men who robbed a bank in County Meath has been launched by Gardaí.

The raid happened at around 4.30pm on Wednesday in a Bank of Ireland branch in the Oldcastle area of County Meath.

Gardaí said the men demanded money from the staff and then fled, making their getaway with an as yet undisclosed sum of money.

It is not known if they were armed but no one was injured in the incident.

The scene has been preserved pending a full technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Oldcastle area to come forward and contact them.

Man Flees With Mother's Body
A man has fled from his home in Kerry with the body of his dead mother. According to reports, the 91-year-old woman, who is originally from the south of England but had been living with her son in the Kenmare area, died on holiday in Malta in September.
