Two Arrested Following Armed Robbery

Two people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Blanchardstown in Dublin on Monday night.

A man armed with a gun entered the premises on the Main Street, threatened staff and made off with a sum of money.

A man was arrested a short time later, and a woman was arrested during a follow up search at a house in Briarswood, where an imitation gun was recovered.

The pair are being held at Blanchardstown garda station.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Arrested And Released In Garda Station Money Theft Investigation
A man arrested on Thursday morning in connection with €9,000 missing from Balbriggan Garda Station has been released without charge. The money was part of €26,000 recovered by gardaí after it was stolen during an armed robbery at Lusk post office in January.

Gardaí Investigating After Shots Fired In Dublin
Gardaí are investigating after reports of gunshots in Dublin yesterday morning, Monday 22 April. The incident took plate on the Whitechapel Road, Clonsilla at around 10.45am. No injuries were reported. Investigating officers later arrested a 30-year-old man during a follow-up search of a house.

Man Charged After 'Chess Row' Murder
A 34-year-old man is to appear in court today after being charged with the murder of a man in Dublin. Thomas O'Gorman, 39, was found severely beaten and stabbed to death at his home in Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock, early on Sunday morning. Gardaí have described the killing as "gruesome".
