Man Missing From Nursing Home
Concern is mounting for the safety of man who has gone missing from a nursing home in Co Cork.
Gardai in Bantry are seeking help from the public in tracing the whereabouts of 41-year-old Brendan McCarthy, who is missing from a nursing home in Bantry.
Brendan was last seen on Monday at approximately 8.30pm near Dromleigh.
Gardaí say he is described as 5' 10" in height, and weighs approximately 12 stone. He is of medium build, and has short receding dark hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark grey jumper and dark jeans.
A spokesman for Gardaí added that Brendan has a prosthetic left arm, and currently has stitches in a wound over his right eye.
An extensive search of the Bantry area is currently underway, led by Gardaí and assisted by the civil defence service and members of the public.
Anyone with information or who can assist the Gardai is asked to contact Bantry Garda Station on 027 20860, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Man Critical Following Clonakilty Road Accident
A man, aged in his 30s, is in a critical condition in hospital following a serious road traffic accident in Clonakilty, Co Cork. A car and a 4x4 collided two miles east of Togher Village on the Bantry to Crookestown Rd, known locally as Bantry Line, at approximately 17:30 on Wednesday.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Cork Road Accident
Gardaí in Co Cork have appealed for witnesses after an 82-year-old man was knocked down and killed by a car in Kilcrohane on Thursday night. The incident happened at about 20:05 last night as the elderly man was walking in the town. He was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital shortly before midnight.

Woman Killed In Co Cork Road Crash
Gardaí in Cork have reported that a woman has been killed in a single-vehicle road crash in Skibbereen, Co Cork. According to gardaí it is thought the crash took place sometime between 22:00 on Thursday and 07:00 on Friday morning. The woman was the only passenger in the car at the time of the incident.
