Frenchman Killed In Bray Shooting

A 32-year-old man has died in hospital after he was injured in a shooting in Co Wicklow.

Charles Sinannnpayen was severely injured in a shooting in Bray on Friday and was pronounced dead at 2am on Monday morning at Beaumont Hospital.

Two men in their 20s have been arrested and are being detained under the Criminal Justice Act in Bray Garda Station.

Mr Sinannapayen's girlfriend, who was in the apartment with him at the time, was severely traumatised but otherwise unhurt.

Gardaí say the victim was not known to them and has no criminal convictions in Ireland.

Man Injured In Shooting In Bray, Co Wicklow
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man was shot in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Thursday evening. The man, believed to be in his 20s, is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin. He is believed to have been shot in the People's Park in Bray at around 5.30pm. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Four Injured In Dublin Shooting
Gardaí have said a man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting in Dublin. Three women were also injured in the incident. The shooting happened around 2.30am on Sunday morning, outside Hanlon's pub on the Old Cabra Road in the north of the city.

Man Arrested Over Shooting Incident In Co Limerick
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in County Limerick. A man in his 50s was seriously injured in the incident which occurred in Castleroy on Monday morning. He is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital. The man is currently being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Garda Injured In Cork
A garda has been injured while on duty in Cork on Monday night. The sergeant has been treated in hospital but has been discharged. He was bringing a patient, aged in his 20s, to the Mercy University Hospital just after 6pm. The garda is based at Gurranabraher Garda Station.
