Another Arrest On 'Body In Boot' Probe

A third person is being questioned by gardaí investigating the murder of David Sharkey.

The body of 28-year-old Mr Sharkey, with an address at Claremont Estate in Navan in Co Meath, was found in the boot of a silver BMW that had crashed into a wall at St Joseph's Park in Dunsink Lane in Finglas.

Two of the suspects are women aged 18 and 22.

A man in his 20s is also being questioned.

It has emerged that gardaí in Finglas had stopped the BMW earlier on Sunday evening to question the driver.

It is understood that it was found crashed shortly afterwards, after gardaí had pursued the car. The driver then fled the scene on foot and Mr Sharkey's body was found in the boot.

More than 660 motorists were caught breaking the speed limit across the Causeway Coast and Glens during the Easter bank holiday weekend – an increase of 22% from 2022. Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Murder Inquiry Launched In 'Body In Boot' Case
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in a car boot in Dublin. The body was found in the boot of his silver BMW car which had crashed into a wall at St Joseph's Park, Finglas, on Sunday night. The dead man has been named as David Sharkey, 28, with an address at Claremont Estate in Navan, Co. Meath.

Man Questioned After Body Found In Limerick
A man in his 20s is being questioned by gardaí after a male body was found in the stairwell of an apartment complex in Limerick. The body of Brendan McEvoy, was found on Thursday. Mr McEvoy was in his 50s and originally from Carlow. Gardaí believe he was the victim of an assault and may have been drinking with another man prior to his death.
