€2M Cocaine Seized As man Arrested

A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of almost €2 million worth of cocaine.

The discovery was the culmination of an operation by detective gardai in Drogheda assisted by gardai from the National Drug Unit, Dog Unit, Criminal Assets Bureau and Customs & Excise. During the operation, a number of dwellings were searched at Cement Road, Drogheda on Friday morning.

During the course of the searches gardai seized a large quantity of what is believed to be cocaine with a street value of approximately €1.75 million.

Customs also seized a car under customs legislation, while Gardai also recovered a revolver, and a quantity of ammunition.

One male aged mid 20s was arrested during the course of one of the searches and is currently detained at Drogheda Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

Garda Arrest Man For Possessing Firearms
A man in his 20's has been arrested after firearms were found at a house in Darndale, Coolock. As part of a planned operation Gardai searched a house at Tulip Court on Thursday at around 17.15. Three firearms and a small amount of cannabis was discovered.

Man Arrested Over Drug Dealer Murder
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Co Louth drug dealer, Paul Reay. Gardaí at Drogheda said this morning they had arrested a man in his early 40s in connection with the two-year investigation. Paul Reay was murdered at Tredagh View, Marley's Lane, on 23rd November 2006.

Dublin Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
A teenager who went missing from Dublin has been found "safe and well". Sean Costello, 15, went missing from Ballymun just after midnight on Sunday, 31 July. Gardai launched an appeal as they were concerned for his welfare. However, they have confirmed he has been found "safe and well". Gardai also thanked the public for their assistance.

Missing Teenager From England Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing teenager from England has been found "safe and well", according to Gardai. Ricky Wall, 15, originally from Crumlin, had been missing from Suffolk from 11 April. However, Gardai said today, 04 May, they had located Ricky. Gardai also thanked the public for their existence.
