Garda Arrest Man For Possessing Firearms

A man in his 20's has been arrested after firearms were found at a house in Darndale, Coolock.

As part of a planned operation Gardai searched a house at Tulip Court on Thursday at around 17.15.

Three firearms and a small amount of cannabis was discovered.

The man is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Shot In Face In Blanchardstown
A man has been arrested after another man was discovered with a firearms injury to his face in Blanchardstown. Garda said that the discovery of the injured man was the result of a 999 call to Gardaí who went to a house on Whitestown Avenue where it was reported that a shooting had occurred.
