Man Found Dead In Dublin Hotel

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a man found dead in a hotel room in Dublin yesterday.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, had checked in to Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross in Clondalkin on Tuesday night. He was found dead at about 3.15pm Wednesday afternoon.

Gardaí are awaiting the results of the post mortem to determine which direction their investigation will take.

The news comes after Gardaí ruled out foul play in the death of a 51-year-old woman whose body was discovered in Waterford city.

The victim's body was discovered in an upstairs bedroom of a house on Closegate Street at 1am on Monday.

But a post mortem examination by State Pathologist Marie Cassidy indicated no signs of foul play.

The house had been sealed off for several hours for a forensic examination by experts from the Garda Technical Bureau.
