Cannabis Nursery Found After Routine Stop And Search
Officers in Cork have stumbled upon a large cannabis nursery following a routine stop and search in the city.
According to a gardaí spokesman, officers from Gurranabraher Gardai station on routine patrol in the Blarney Road area of Cork City stopped and searched a car at about 8.20pm yesterday.
A small quantity of what was believed to be cannabis herb was discovered and a man in his late 20' was arrested.
Officers used to the evidence to engage in a follow up search at a warehouse in an industrial estate on the northside of the city at about 10.00pm. At the scene of the warehouse, gardaí found some 1,200 cannabis plants that were being cultivated in the building.
The plants subject to analysis may have a street value of €360,000.
The arrested man is detained at Gurranabraher Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Gardaí in Co Kildare have seized cannabis worth an estimated €800,000. The find was made during a planned search of a house in Crossmorris on Monday. Officers seized 40kg of cannabis herb in the search. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.
