Second Man This Week Shot And Killed
Finglas has seen the second man shot and killed this week, leading to the launch of a "major" investigation.
Gardaí at Finglas are investigating the fatal shooting at Coldwinters, North Road, Dublin at approximately 5.10pm yesterday evening.
A Gardaí spokesman said they arrived on the scene in the Finglas area of Dublin and discovered a badly injured man who was attended to by an Ambulance crew. The man was taken to the Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The deceased man is believed to be in his mid 30s.
A Gardaí spokesman said: "The scene has been sealed off pending a full Garda technical examination and a major investigation is under way."
On Monday, a man died and two men were injured in a shooting in Tallaght in Dublin.
The incident happened on Kilmartin Drive shortly before midnight.
Gardaí on patrol in the area, responded to what sounded like gunshots, discovered the body of a 20-year-old man in a car in the driveway of a house.
The man, who had injuries to his upper body, was pronounced dead at the scene. On searching the house, two more men were found with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Both men, who are in their 20s, remain in a serious condition in Tallaght Hospital.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'

Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Man Shot Dead In Dublin
A man has been shot and killed outside a house in Dublin. Gardaí were called to the scene where they found a man in his 20s who had been shot a number of times in the front garden of the house at Woodavens just before midnight. According to Gardaí, medical attention was given to the man at the scene but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 20-year-old man has been shot in the Ballyfermot area of west Dublin overnight. According to Gardaí, a gang of men attacked the victim, who is from the Ballyfermot area, on the grounds behind the Cherry Orchard Hospital around 10.00pm. The attackers shot the man in the lower body, before making their getaway in two cars.
