Man Shot In Dublin House

A man has been shot during an incident at a Dublin address last night.

Gardai in Malahide, Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack where shots were fired in a house in Drynam Drive, Kinsealy, Dublin at approximately 10.10pm last night.

According to a Gardaí spokesman, a 29-year-old male was shot a number of times and was removed from the scene by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital. His condition is not considered life threatening.

The scene is currently being technically examined this morning.

Gardaí have issued a public appeal over the incident, and are asking any person who may have been in the area of Drynam Drive, Kinsealy from 9.00pm to 11.00pm and witnessed anything unusual to contact Cooklock Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1 800 666 111.

Fresh Appeals Over Dublin Shootings
Gardaí have renewed appeals for information about two fatal shootings in Dublin over the past few days. John Berney, 29, was murdered in his home in Castlelyon Drive in the Newcastle area of the city on the night of March 6. A lone gunman shot him dead in an upstairs bedroom of the house, reportedly in front of his partner.

Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find
A man has been detained in connection with the discovery of a body in Co Clare. The body of the 27-year-old was found outside a house in Kilrush this morning. The victim was found shot dead in the garden of a house on O'Gorman Street at around 10.30am.

€140,000 Worth Of Cocaine Seized In West Dublin
Gardaí have seized cocaine worth €140,000 at premises in Ronanstown in west Dublin. The discovery was made during a raid at around 7pm on Wednesday. A woman was arrested at the scene however she has since been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Garda Shot In Dublin
President Mary McAleese has publicly condemned the shooting of a Garda in Dublin this morning. The shooting occurred shortly after 9am on the Ossary Road in Dublin's financial district. The officer, who is understood to be a motorcyclist with the regional traffic unit, was taken to Mater Hospital, where his condition has been described as stable.
