The 27-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to his neck at a house in Ashcroft Grove, Blakestown, around 8.30pm on Tuesday.

According to reports, a 17-month-old baby was in the house at the time of the shooting.

The area was sealed off for a forensic examination before the Deputy State Pathologist conducted a preliminary examination and the body was removed from the scene.

Gardaí have launched an investigation and said that the discovery was made in a front downstairs living room of the Blakestown property, which is in north-west Dublin.
