Two Arrested Following Separate Drug Seizures
Four people have been arrested following a series of searches by Gardaí, leading to the recovery of over €140,000 worth of drugs.
Officers from the Divisional Drug Unit in Limerick conducted a series of searches on Saturday afternoon and evening resulting in the seizure of cannabis resin and heroin with an estimated street value, pending forensic analysis, in excess of €140,000.00.
Following the operation, which included vehicle stop and searches along with the house searches, three people were arrested and two were detained under Drug Trafficking Act.
Those detained include a male in his mid 30's and one female aged 22 years. One male was also detained under the Criminal Justice Act.
All three were released and a file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
In a separate incident, a 38-year-old man is in custody in connection with drug offences at Blanchardstown Garda station following the seizure of a quantity of what's believed to be cocaine and cannabis plants yesterday.
Garda from Blanchardstown Drugs unit searched a house in the Clonee area of Dublin 15 on Saturday at around 6.45pm.
A quantity of cannabis plants and cocaine were found at the scene, and subject to analysis the cocaine may have a street value of up to €18,000, the value of the cannabis plants is not known at this time.
The man arrested has been charged in relation to the incident and will appear before Dublin District Court 44 on Monday morning at 10.30am.

Four people have been arrested in connection in what is believed to be nearly 2,000 cannabis plants. A man in his 20's was arrested after around 800 cannabis plants were seized at a growhouse in the South Roscommon area.

Gardaí have said a grow house was discovered at the premises and 101 cannabis plants were seized. They are thought to have an estimated value of €80,000.
