Gardaí Seek Help In Hunt For Sex Offender

Gardaí and the PSNI in the North are seeking the assistance of the public in finding and apprehending a convicted sex offender.

Ernest George Finlay has failed to meet his post-custody conditions and a Gardaí spokesman has said Mr Finlay is considered to pose a risk of causing serious harm.

The public are requested not to approach the man in person but are asked to contact the police if they think they may know of his whereabouts.

Police are also appealing to Mr Finlay to hand himself in at the nearest Garda station.

He is described as being around 5 foot, eight inches tall, of medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. Mr Finlay also has a small gap between his upper two front teeth and has several tattoos, three of which are on his arms and include pictures of a horses head.

Mr Finlay, or anyone who believes they may have seen him, is asked to contact police immediately.
