Convicted Sex Offender Arrested At Dublin Airport
A convicted sex offender has been arrested at Dublin Airport.
Mian Shahid, 19, was arrested by gardai at around 10.40pm on Monday night as he was boarding a flight to Dubai.
He is currently being held at Clontarf Garda Station and is expected to appear at the High Court later today.
It is believed he travelled to Ireland from Scotland earlier this year.
He was last seen in the Foynes area on 11 August.
He was convicted in his absence of two counts of sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman on 13 April.
Shahid, originally from Pakistan, was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment on 20 May.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.
