Gardaí Investigate Road Crash In Limerick
Gardaí in Limerick are investigating a crash, which reportedly involves several vehicles.
The incident happened on the N7 Dublin Road, near Daly's Cross.
Traffic is currently very heavy in the area, as part of the road has been blocked because of the crash.

Two gardaí motorcycle officers are being treated in hospital after being involved in a collision in Co Sligo. It is understood that the officers were responding to a road traffic accident on the Manorhamilton Road when they were involved in a collision. Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash
A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two gardaí officers have received hospital treatment after their patrol car was involved in a collision. The patrol car collided with a car at around 11:00 on Thursday in Kilmallock in Co Limerick, according to a report by the Irish Independent.

Limerick Tunnel Opens
Taoiseach Brian Cowen will open the long awaited Limerick Tunnel today at 1pm. The route now cuts under the River Shannon and links Coonagh on the northern bank with Bunlicky on the southern bank. There are two toll plazas located on the north side of the river and it will cost €1.

Garda Apeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Limerick Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Limerick have reported the death of a 28-year-old man in a road crash on Thursday afternoon. It is understood the man died after his car collided with a truck at Cooga Cross on the Doon to Cappamore Road at about 15:30. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today at Limerick Regional Hospital.
