€10,000 Reward In Swords Sex Attack Inquiry
Crimestoppers is offering €10,000 as a reward for information leading to the arrest of the man who seriously sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a north Dublin park earlier this month.
The girl was attacked as she walked through the playground in Swords at around 2.40am on Sunday, August 3rd.
In addition to being sexually assaulted, she received serious head and facial injuries.
A Garda spokesman said the attacker was aged between 18 and 25 had dark hair and a sallow complexion. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a zipped black sweatshirt top.
A number of people were believed to have been in the area at time, which is known locally as the Jacko Recreational park, at the time of the attack.
Detective Inspector Pat Conlon said: "You might know someone fitting this description who has changed their behaviour or their appearance or who has recently left the area for no apparent reason, you might know someone who has recently had unexplained stained or soiled clothing".
He asked anyone with information to contact the gardaí at Swords on 01-6664700 or Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25.

A murder investigation has been launched following a gun attack that left one man dead and another seriously wounded in Swords last night, Thursday 17 January. The shooting occurred as the two men in their 20's left the fitness facility Gym Plus and made their way to the car park. They were both struck several times.

Two Men To Appear In Court For Roy Collins Murder
Two men will appear in court on Friday charged with the murder of businessman Roy Collins. It is understood the two men, who are members of the McCarthy-Dundon gang – one of whom is regarded as a major criminal figure – will be charged before the Special Criminal Court in connection with the 2009 gun attack.
