Gardaí Investigate 'Feud' Arson Attacks

Gardaí are investigating two more arson attacks in Waterford city that took place in the early hours of this morning.

It is understood that no one was injured in either attack, which Gardaí say is the sixth arson attack to take place in Waterford since Saturday.

One incident occurred at a house in St Herblain at around 1am, but the house was vacant at the time.

The other incident took place at Manor St John at around 3am. It is thought that the house may have been mistakenly targeted.

It is thought that the attacks may be related to an ongoing feud between two families in the area.

Gardaí have recovered slash hooks, machetes, knifes and home-made incendiary devices in planned searches over the last few days as part of their investigation into the feud.
