Gardaí Seize €200,000 Of Heroin In Dublin

Gardaí have seized a major cache of class A drugs from a house in Dublin on Wednesday.

The find was the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Dublin City. Gardaí investigations led them to a premises in Hillcrest Business Park, Greenhills Road, Walkinstown, Dublin 12 where they uncovered the drugs.

The search took place at approximately 3pm, carried out by the South Central Crime Task Force as part of Operation Anvil, which is a special operation into gang activity in the state.

During the course of the search 1 kg of heroin was seized.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €200,000, subject to analysis.

A number of other items were also recovered in the search including an Ifor Williams trailer, which had been stolen in Duleek 2 years ago.

No arrests have yet been made but investigations are continuing.

The Garda National drugs Unit and the Detective Unit of Harcourt Terrace assisted in the operation.

Separate Operations Turn Up €500,000 Of Drugs
Two separate Gardaí operations conducted yesterday have recovered almost half a million euro in illegal drugs. In the first operation last night, Gardaí from the North Central Drugs Unit in Dublin carried out a search of a car at Bellewstown Co Meath. During the course of the search, 3kg of Cocaine was discovered.

Five Arrested In Dublin Search Operation
Five men have been arrested after Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out a series of searches at dwelling houses and businesses in the Dublin area. The operation began this morning and has involved in excess of 20 searches. The men arrested range from their mid 20s to mid 30s.

A cache of cannabis worth €500,000 has been seized in County Wicklow as part of an ongoing operation. Gardai from the Wicklow Division and Garda National Drugs Unit said this morning they have discovered a Cannabis growing operation and seized a large quantity of plants as part of an ongoing investigation.
