Cork Airport To Face Further Disruption Today
Passengers at Cork Airport have been warned of more flight disruption today as a result of the ongoing dispute between air traffic controllers and the Irish Aviation Authority.
The airport is saying there will be no flights between 8pm tonight and 8am tomorrow morning as the dispute relating to overtime continues.
Controllers are refusing to work overtime in protest to what they say are "chronic" staff shortages.
A 24-hour strike is expected to be mounted next Thursday if the matters are not addressed. Meanwhile the two sides are to meet for further talks at the Labour Relations Commission today in attempts to resolve the matter.

A number of early morning flights were disrupted at Cork Airport this morning, due to an ongoing air traffic controllers dispute. The affected airlines included Aer Lingus, Aer Arran and Ryanair and included flights to Amsterdam, Prague, Belfast, London and Munich, which were due to take off from 6:30am.

Talks Aim To Resolve Air Traffic Control Dispute
Fresh talks to resolve a dispute between air traffic controllers and the Irish Aviation Authority are due to recommence today. The two sides, which met for talks at the Labour Relations Commission last week, will be holding face-to-face discussions over the coming days in an effort to resolve the dispute by Friday.

Cork Airport Accepts Debt Deal
Cork Airport Authority (CAA) has put an end to their long-running dispute with Dublin Airport by accepting recommendations that it assume millions of euros in debt as the price of independence. Last night, the CAA held a crunch meeting and agreed 'in principle' to accept the debt, in return for its independent operations.
