Mayo Road Crash Kills One
A 19-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co. Mayo.
The incident happened on the main N5 Castlebar to Westport road around 10pm on Thursday.
It is understood that the victim was a front seat passenger in the vehicle, which hit a wall in Dooleague, Islandeady.
Two other people who were in the same car as the victim were taken to Mayo General Hospital for treatment. However, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Carlow Car Crash Kills Two
Two people have been killed in County Carlow. A man, 23, and a woman, 18, died when the vehicle they were travelling in hit a tree in Kilcarry, Clonegal. No other vehicles were involved in the incident and the two killed were the only occupants in the car. Garda have appealed for any witnesses to the crash.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.
