Drugs Traffickers Linked To Costa Del Sol Murder

Spanish police probing the murder of Irish drug dealer Patrick Doyle believe it may be linked to a massive cocaine seizure on the Costa Del Sol.

The discovery of almost €8m of cocaine, found hidden in a truck loaded with furniture, was found in Estepona near where Mr Doyle was shot dead.

Eight men, including one Irishman, have been arrested and Spanish police have said there may be links between the men in custody and Mr Doyle's death.

They believe the murder is the result of rival drug traffickers rather than an Irish gangland feud as had previously been reported.

Meanwhile, Gerry Hutch, who was driving the 4x4 that came under attack during the shooting, has been questioned by Spanish police.

Hutch, the nephew of the top Dublin criminal Gerry 'the Monk' Hutch, is understood to have come forward to police.
