Court Appearance Follows Pipe Bomb Find

A young woman (22) will come before a court on charges connected with the discovery of explosives.

When police raided her home, two pipe bombs, a shotgun, ammunition and drugs were discovered and then seized during the search at Barry Park, Finglas, in north Dublin, last Friday.

The woman arrested during the operation is expected to appear before Dublin District Court on charges linked to the finds later on Monday.

Cocaine and herbal cannabis believed to have a street value of €10,000 was sent to the Garda Technical Bureau for forensic analysis.

The woman was being held at Finglas garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Following the find, Army bomb disposal experts were called in to deal with the explosive devices.
