Loans Case Adjourned As Lynn Fails To Appear
A lawyer at the centre of a controversial property loan case has again failed to appear in court and is now being sought by Irish police.
Michael Lynn was to appear before a judge again today to face questions about multi-million euro property loans.
He had been due to appear in front of a High Court Judge in Dublin, but Mr Justice Richard Johnson was forced to adjourn the case until January 14 after being told there was no sign of Mr Lynn.
The lawyer, who has been linked to an €80 million mortgage scam, is believed to be in England.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest by the President of the High Court in Dublin.
The Irish Law Society asked the judge to put the case back until early next month.
Mr Justice Johnson today said: "To alleviate the anxiety of the public, this matter should be dealt with as speedily as possible."
This is the second time that Mr Lynn, with an address in the prestigious Sandymount area, south of Dublin, failed to turn up at the High Court.

A company has been fined €25,000 in connection with a bus crash that killed a 15-year-old boy in 2006. Vehicle testing company O'Reilly Commercials Ltd was issued the fine after a judge found that they had failed to "ensure passengers were not exposed to safety risks.

Fugitive Lynn Fined €2m By Tribunal
On the run Michael Lynn has been fined €2 million by a tribunal for a combination of fraud, theft and forgery. It was revealed Mr Lynn owes in excess of €80 million to clients he stole from, including his sister, Anne Jordan.
