Suspect Sought After Body Found In Limerick Hotel

Gardaí in Limerick are searching for a man following the discovery of a woman's body in a Limerick hotel room at the weekend.

The body of 33-year-old mother-of-two Sylvia Roche Kelly, from Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare, was found lying face down in the bath in the Clarion Hotel on Saturday morning.

A post-mortem revealed that she had been violently assaulted before her death, but an exact cause of death has still to be established.

Gardaí are searching for a Co. Tipperary man, believed to be in his early 20s, who left the hotel on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the man checked into the hotel on Friday night. It is understood that Ms Kelly, who visited a number of pubs and a nightclub with family members on Friday night, was not checked into the Clarion Hotel.

CCTV footage from the hotel is being studied, and it has been reported that the man being sought by gardaí was captured on CCTV.

Ms Kelly is described as having long black hair and was wearing a long black coat.
