Wexford Road Death
The road toll in Ireland has hit seven with news that a 25-year-old man was killed in a road collision at Begerin, New Ross, Co Wexford.
On top of the six people killed within 48 hours in Northern Ireland, this Sunday road death, adds to the ever-rising grim catalogue of Irish road crash victims.
The driver of a car was fatally injured when his car left the road and hit a fence before 5pm yesterday.
No other person or vehicle was involved.
Gardái from New Ross Garda station are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Road Death Toll Growing
Gardaí in Borris, Co Carlow are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ballyine, Co Carlow at 12.45am this morning. A man of 68 was injured when the car in which he was the sole occupant collided with a wall. He was brought to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal Road Collision
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in Dublin on Friday night. A woman, 40, died when she was hit by a car on the Davitt Road, which fled from the scene. The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.

According to garda the man was cycling when his bicycle was hit by a car at about 20:30 close to pedestrian lights on the Gort Road. It is believed that the man was hit by a blue BMW, with a partial registration of 01 g.
